Gift For A Friend

Today I spent some time finishing projects I was almost done with.  The one I really wanted to complete was this little thank you for my friend Janine.  She has a few of us girls over for cocktails and nibbles earlier this week and I wanted to do something a bit special for her.  It was a wonderful evening and I can't remeber the last time I laughed so much.  (It lasted until the wee hours of the morning to boot...)

I love to put little gifts in these little Chinese food containers.  Somehow anything looks more festive.  I bought two different sizes from Uline however I will have to give lots of gifts to use them all!  I always give cookies and candy at the holidays and I will surely use lots of them then.  This one contains a cellophane bag filled with Buttercrunch Toffee that I made this morning.

The card was made with more Mo.  I just love her digital graphics.  I have lots to learn about Photoshop but I plug away at it learning as I go.   Have a happy Sunday!  Off to drop this at my friends'.

Too Pretty For Pins

I was out of town for a couple of days and when I got back my mailbox was bursting!  It has been mighty quiet out at the old mailbox lately just lots and lots of junk mail.   No I don't want to "meet my mate" I've done that already and I don't need any chemicals to keep my pool scum free...I don't have a pool.

Jackie  sent me the cutest little nest Pin Cushion .  I really am going to have a hard time putting pins in those little eggs.  I think I might just need to find some special pins to put in it.  I love millinery flowers and there was the most adorable little bunch in my favorite spring colors.  I am thinking that I will use those to fill the window boxes when the dollhouse is complete.  Jackie also included little tags with all things birdie...nests, birds and eggs.  So thoughtful Jackie, thanks.

There was another little something in the mail I'll talk about later but for now I have a stack of junk mail to go through, a Star Wars dinner to plan and loads of laundry to tackle.

A Belated Thank You

I have been so remiss in not thanking Linda for the wonderful jewelry she sent me.   Not only lovely earrings but so cleverly packaged (In a square box surrounded by shred which looked just like a nest, one of my favorite things of course).  Her jewelry has been a wonderful addition over at the store and the two pairs of earrings she sent me have become mainstays in my wardrobe. 

The first pair is in my most favorite Pink Rose Quartz and pearl.   I had no idea I wore as much pink as I do until I realized that I wear these a couple of times a week.  That is saying a lot considering how much jewelry I have.... if my husband is reading this let me amend that statement to read "..considering how much jewelry I allegedly have."

The second pair is in my newest favorite color Light Blue Aquamarine and pearl.  When I reach for a t-shirt these are the ones I wear.  Beautiful. 

Linda, it was so thoughtful of you.  Thank you, I feel so spoiled.
