Sample Me

0510_nestingwithstyle These were little post it pad covers which I made for The Sampler which is a fantastically fun little thing.  If you are an Artisan you can submit samples or other fun handmade things which get sent to the subscribers. If you aren't a crafter you can subscribe and receive a package filled with all sorts of goodies.  The fun part for me was that as an Artisan I got a package of goodies as well.

0512_nestingwithstyle I have made different things.  The post it covers were fun.  I still keep one in my purse.  I made gift tags at Christmas.  Those went well also.  Lots of bright colors.

0511_nestingwithstyle These were gift tags I made in the Autumn.  I liked to submit things which someone could use.

I received lots of wonderful things.  Gift tags, yarn, buttons, stickers, note cards, candles, hair clips, etc. etc.  It was such a mix of interesting things.

I haven't done it in awhile...so many other things going on.  But seeing these pictures made me miss it.  What is better than receiving a package and not having any idea what is inside?  It is like a birthday and Christmas morning all wrapped into one.   It is funny how something so simple as hair clips and stickers can make me feel 7 years old all over again.  Mayble that's why I like it so much.

Trunk Shows Part Deux

Trunkshowbath_1 In May I had a series of trunk shows for Nesting With Style.  I blogged about it in my Previous Blog on Blogspot.

The second was as fun as the first.  It is so satisfying to see a whole new set of people discover all the Artisan's work.   Both shows were a frenzy of activity as the ladies munched on nibbles and tried on loads of jewelry, lotions and potions.

At both shows we needed three rooms to display all the products.  At the first show the stationary and bath & body were in the living room.  At the second show the bath & body and the stationary were in the kitchen (shown to the left) and other gift items and overflow jewelry was in the living room.  At both shows the jewelry took over the dining

room.  In another part of the kitchen were the luscious Pirouette Bags from Posie.  There was a light right above and the silk literally shimmered.   The colors were delightful.  Hydrangea Blue, Melon, Blush Pink, Alpine Blue, and a couple of checked ones Pink on Pink Check and a Black and White Mini Check.

Trunkshowaper_1 The stationary was in the kitchen along with various gift items.  I love these note cards from Three Paper Pigs.  The decoupaged plates are from Bella Bumble as are the mosaic hearts.

It was so colorful and festive to see everything all layed out.

Trunktable_1 I am planning to do another series in November (sort of Pre-Holiday Gift Shows).  I have already had two ladies volunteer their homes which was so nice of them not only because it is a ton of work but also because I had never met them.  They were new to Nesting With Style and new to me and so it meant double that they offered.  So sweet.

Thanks to the Artisans for their support.  The things you sent for the shows blew me away and made devoted fans out of the gals who attended.  Sam and I are working hard on a way for your new found fans to be notified each time you have a new product on the site...more on that later.

Most importantly I would like to thank Janine and Gayle.  You truly went above and beyond in hosting these first trunk shows and it was so sweet of you to open your beautiful homes to me.   Thank you, thank you , thank you.

Moving to TypePad

I have decided that as much as I like Blogger I need more control over how my blog looks and so today I have changed over to TypePad.  I still have lots to learn so I would imagine it might look different at each visit.  Bear with me as I learn how to manage this.  Another adventure!
